I Want To Go Back in Time and Change Things
I Want To Go Back in Time and Change Things

I wish I could go back in time and change things. This is a statement that every human being has made at some point in their life. Almost every one of us has done something we are not proud of. We all learn new things that leave us saying, I wanna go back in time and change everything.

Almost every one of us has said before, Sometimes I want to go back in time to change things. However, an important question remains about how to go back in time and change the past.

It is this question that I want to address in today’s article. I will start by focusing on why we would all want to go back in time and change things. I will then attempt to answer the question of whether you can go back in time and change things.

The article will also focus on whether there are spells to go back in time. However, the most important insight I want to leave you with after you are done reading this article is that what has happened in the past cannot be changed. The only thing you can change is the future

Why We Regret The Past

When someone says, I wanna go back in time not to change things, they are indicating that there are certain things about their past that they are not so proud of.

Why would we want to focus on what people are not proud of about their past? We do so because we want others to learn from our mistakes. Apart from that, we also want to relook at our own mistakes and see what we can learn from them.

Do you ever say, I want to go back in time and change things? Discover what makes people regret the past and how you can change the future.

So, now let’s look at some of the things we have done in the past that may lead us to say, I wish I could go back in time and change a few things

Refusing To Forgive

For many people who say, I want to go back in time and start over, the main reason they regret their past lives is that they have failed and refused to forgive until it’s too late.

It doesn’t matter how wronged you feel. The reality is that when you refuse to forgive, you are hurting yourself more than you are hurting the person you are refusing to forgive.

When we say that you should forgive, we are not implying that you should remain with toxic people in your life. Instead, we mean that as you let the wrong people leave your life, you should do so with a clean heart. When you do so, you release yourself and the person you are forgiving.

If you really care about the person who has wronged you, make time to tell them how to hurt you are. However, be clear that you don’t want the relationship to die.

If you are willing to let the past be the past because you are willing to forgive, then you will never find yourself saying, I want to go back in time.

Stressing Over Small Things

When we are younger, we tend to worry about small things or things that we can’t change. For example, many people are worried about what others think of them. These people forget that most of the time, no one is really thinking about them.

When you worry about small things or those things that you can’t change, you are wasting energy that you could have used for better things. So, worrying is the top time waster that many people regret.

If you don’t want to end up saying I want things to go back to the way they were, you need to relax a bit. This will allow you to be happy. However, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t worry about things that are important in your life.

Not Having Goals

One of the main things that people who say, I just want to go back in time, regret is that they didn’t set goals earlier in life.

When you set goals, you are allowing yourself to adopt new behaviours. It ensures that you focus on the things that are important to you. With goals, you can look back and see the accomplishments you have had in your life.

It has been shown by scientists, psychologists, and neurologists that when you set goals, you push yourself to invest in the result. It doesn’t matter how large or small your goals are; the reality is that when you have set them, your brain begins to work with the universe to put the infrastructure that will lead to your goal.

How to Create Your Goals

You must observe a few principles when setting your goals. The most popular of these is the SMART principle.

  • Specific: Clearly define what you want to achieve, which can easily be accomplished by ensuring that your goals begin with a verb.
  •
  • Measurable: There is no way of knowing whether a goal has been achieved unless it can be measured. So, you would want to consider a statement in your goals indicating how you will measure if your goals have been accomplished.
  •
  • Achievable: There is no use setting a goal you know you can’t achieve. Therefore, you would want to look at the skills and resources you already have and determine how you will use them to accomplish your goals.
  •
  • Realistic: You wouldn’t set a goal that says you will be the United States president by this afternoon. This means that you should remain realistic when setting goals.
  •
  • Time-bound: When would you like the goal to be accomplished? Clearly state this as part of the statement of your goal.

Words That Hurt

Most people who say I want to go back in time so badly often wish they could reverse some unkind words that they said or want a chance to say some kind words to someone, but they can no longer do.

Let’s start with the issue of kind words. I always advise that if you don’t want to regret it, you must teach yourself to use kindness as the default. Start looking at the positive side of everything, no matter how bad a situation looks.

If someone looks great, never miss the moment to tell them that. If you love someone, don’t hold back on telling them. Wish other people well. When you do that, you attract positive spirits into your life that can only bring happiness.

With regard to saying bad things, you always need to remember that there is no way you can reverse something that has already been saying. Because I know I can’t go back and change the past, I am always careful about what I say, especially when I am angry.

If you have already said the nasty stuff, you can’t just say I want to go back to childhood when I was innocent. Instead, you need to go to the person you have wronged and inform them that you are sorry. This will bring you peace in a way you have never seen before.

Forgetting to Spoil Yourself

Unless you have won the lottery, were born by a billionaire, or belong to the royal family, most of us have to work. However, this doesn’t mean that you should work to death. Many people that say, I want to go back to when I was a kid say so after they have realised that they have worked too hard and haven’t given themselves a chance to spoil themselves.

If you don’t want to regret it later in your life, you need to start by realising the importance of work/life balance. This means that while you work hard to accomplish your goals, you must also ensure that you rest adequately and do the things you like.

Not Following Your Passion

We all have things that we are passionate about. For some, simply listening to the “I want to go back in time song” is what can get them going. Others want to look after animals and the environment.

Start by looking at the things that wake something up in you. Those are the things you are passionate about. Make time for them while you still continue to meet your family and work responsibilities.

Can You Turn Back Time

No matter what we wish about turning back time and the promises about spells to turn back time and change things, the reality is that once something has happened, there is no way of changing it. Yes, you can take measures to amend the situation, but you can’t turn back the hands of time.

The best way to change the past is by changing the future. Learn from your past mistakes and change the things you can. If you can’t change something, learn to live with it.
